Volleyball: Another Three-Game Weekend for the Aigles Bleues

PUBLIÉ LE 14 Novembre 2019

In Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball action, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-4=3 points, 4th position) play three games this weekend in Fredericton at the University of New Brunswick.

These will be the last three games of the first semester against high-calibre teams. The Bleu et Or meets the Dalhousie University Tigers (5-0=10 points, 1st position) on Friday at 3 p.m., the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (4-2=8 points, 3rd position) on Saturday at the same time, and the Memorial University Sea-Hawks (0-6=0 points, 6th position) on Sunday at noon.

The task will not be easy for the Monette Boudreau-Carroll coached team as they play three games in as many days for the second week in a row. “We aim to build on our last week’s success,” Boudreau-Carroll said. “We need to be ready for the three games and we hope for two wins. We should do well against Memorial and hope to upset the Huskies. We are following the same plan as we did last weekend with our three wins. Our improvements will guide us. It is not easy on the body to play three games in as many days. I am limited by the number of players. We will end the first semester and then get ready for the second.”
